banninated?

So I have been logging in to TSR to see if, well, I couldn't actually log in. When I was banned for filesharing (with 57 days remaining on my account!), logging in brought up a screen that told me I was BANNED and told me what a bad, bad girl I was, and that's what I've been expecting/looking for since both the LDG thing and then the info-sharing non-discussion. Instead, I was able to log in (and download Mira's updates) up through yesterday, which made me rather suspicious of the files (all virus scans were fine, thankfully). Today, however, I can still log in...but there are no download buttons visible to me, either for pay or free items. I can press my nose up against the window glass and dream, but I'll never be able to shop there!

It's a new softer, gentler, and vaguer ban than they've used in the past, and it does feel less...banny. This change in punitive tactics, and its timing, are kind of interesting. Perhaps its because they don't want a lot of negative attention for banning people who don't fawn all over them during a time when they look especially (a)twatty to the community at large. Or maybe it's because my transgression was less important to them since I was merely exhibiting thoughtcrime instead of "stealing."

ETA: I'm still not banned or even fake-NOT-banned, apparently. Seems that TSR are having site issues. I am not the only person suffering from temporarily invisible download buttons per the thread at PMBD.
