email address given as brontide2_77@yahoo.com, but it's clearly labeled as being from a mail-faking site. Why someone would pick brontide to be my fake-hater is unclear.

I warned someone about her incorrectly-posted, fugly sim, she became incensed and said she'd rather have it deleted than fix the post, and so it was deleted (I would have done it, but another mod got to it first), and then Liegen decided to temp ban her for being an ass. In retaliation (?), she ran over to SimsCave and posted a ranty hate thread that almost makes you feel sorry for her because she's so dumb. This email reads like her genius, and I'm nearly positive it's from her since she's the only person to get flailing mad at me thus far.

What am I supposed to be afraid of? More fake emails? The knowledge that peoples on the internets hate me!!111!?

It's kind of amazing, IMO. It's supposedly written by her "friend" and is a mess of paranoia and grandiose thinking and she's just...wrong. About everything. It got locked fairly quickly, so it's probably in the archive for the rant thread.

I can understand that people get upset and have their feelings hurt when a mod is "mean" to them - I'd be mortified if I ever received the sort of scolding that I hand out - but my reaction would be well towards the apologize-and-promise-to-never-do-it-again end of the spectrum. And then I'd actually apologize and never do it again. Duh.

Actually, her SimsCave rant did get a few replies, including one from me that was actually quite kind considering the evidence of retardedness that I could have introduced into the proceedings from her original posts. A couple of the people who responded at the Cave have their own issues with GoS but seemed to think she was an idiot, and another half dozen or so just thought she was an idiot. I'm not very active at the Cave, but I've been there since before the beginning, so to speak, and I've always gotten along with the owner and the admins, and people at the Cave generally like GoS, so it makes no sense to me that butthurt people run over there and make threads about GoS=bitches.

I once had a sim deleted from there and I really didn't see what that big deal was, you just learn to make more unique sims. I can understand people being upset and hurt initially when their upload is deleted, but it's not like people's sims are being removed because they're ugly and they suck. Usually they're removed for being too classically pretty under their makeup. Since GoS is the only place I know of that's trying to enforce a "unique" appearance for uploaded sims, there are dozens, probably hundreds, of places that the rejected sims could be uploaded instead.

As for the threats, not only are they stupid, but they're illegal. Not that I think she's serious, but if I'd reacted the way she probably hoped I would, she'd be in a world of hurt.

This one managed to point out that she was exempt from the rules multiple times in her various rants, though I honestly don't think she even realized she was doing it. You just want to say, "Girl, did you read what you wrote?" If you can't even hold up your side of an argument, don't get into arguments.

I never hung out on the social forums at InSim, but everything I've heard about the Reign of Beos implies that he was all about the fight and all about winning the fight, with the use of modly powers to solve arguments in his favor, as necessary. No doubt boiling blood was his beverage of choice :P
